Either I’m just getting grumpy in my old age, or I’m getting to be intolerant of the webinar sales spiel formula. Whichever it is, I signed up for the “[LAST CHANCE] The Most Important Webinar You Will Attend This Year To Make 2015 The Best Year of Your Life” — or as he put it:
“[LAST CHANCE] The Most Important Webinar You Will Attend This Year To Make 2015 The Best Year of Your Life!!!”
webinar presented by Alex Jeffreys, and after listening for 45 minutes, I hung up.
At that point, he was still going on about how wonderful his Internet lifestyle was and how his dear sweet wife and mum were so happy. Well over halfway into the presentation, and he had not made a single actionable point. I fail to see how this presentation lives up to the slogan he posted on his website (shown above). Maybe he might have eventually said something important, but I got tired of waiting for it.
I can only guess that the reason that Internet marketing webinars go on and on that way is that this sort of crap must work for selling high-priced IM courses. At least on the gullible.
I think that this is a example of how I plan *NOT* to sell stuff.
Even if avoiding the seemingly obligatory over-hyped rags-to-riches story hurts my sales. There are just some things I don’t want to to do for money.
